Bunny Vacations terms and conditions Unlike dog/cat boarding, at present there are no licences available for small animal boarding. We aim to provide a high standard of care for your pet(s) and every effort is made to ensure safety on our property. However you enter our property and all animals are left with us at your own risk.
The owner is responsible for providing the animal’s usual dry food and must ensure there is a sufficient amount for their stay. Bunny Vacations will provide fresh hay, straw, ready grass and fresh vegetables.
Animals staying with us will be housed in hutches within a secure garden shed. Although out of wind and rain, they should be used to living in outside temperatures.
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking. The balance is payable upon check in. Bookings are calculated on a daily rate. Check in/out days are charged at full daily rate regardless of arrival/departure times.
All rabbits must be fully vaccinated against myxomatosis and VHD. Vaccinations are given 2 weeks apart. The last vaccination must have been given at least 2 weeks prior to arrival at Bunny Vacations. Vaccination record cards must be shown on or prior to arrival. Failure to do so may result in your rabbit being turned away.
Any animals that are to share a hutch whilst with us must be a bonded pair and used to living together at home. If a pair/trio need to be separated whilst with us due to fighting there will be an additional cost as per our daily rates for the extra hutch. Separating a pair/trio is not a decision we would make lightly and we would only do so for your pet’s own safety.
On arrival all animals will be checked for signs of illness. We reserve the right to refuse admission to any animal that is ill in order to safeguard the health of other guests. Animals currently on medication for a non-contagious condition may be accepted but this must be disclosed prior to arrival.
If we consider that your pet requires medical treatment during their stay, we will take them to either your own or our vet for a consultation. If medication is prescribed we will administer this. We will take all reasonable steps to contact you or your emergency contact on the details you have provided. However if we cannot make contact and your pet requires urgent treatment we will act in their best interest at all times as advised by the vet. This includes if they require hospitalisation, blood tests, x-rays etc, or if the vet recommends they be put to sleep. If you have any specific instructions with regard to vet treatment please advise us at time of booking/ arrival. You would be liable for any bills incurred at the vet and monies are to be repaid either directly to the vet or to Bunny Vacations on collection. All consultation notes and receipts would be provided to you.
If you require an extension to your pet’s stay you must contact us immediately to discuss this. Extensions would be charged at the normal daily rate. If your pet is not collected on the agreed date and contact is not established between us and you/your emergency contact within 10 days, we may conclude that you have abandoned your pet and we will seek to re-home them.
